Last week was hell!
I went to work as normal last Monday as I had lots of wedding jobs to print. I get a call about 15mins in from my Ikea Boss (tm) asking me to come to work as Darren had the flu, Khristos was having chest pains & Lolly had gone into hospital after rehearsal last week with kidney stones! So I had to call my Boss (tm) to come in so I could work at Ikea. There was only 4 of us on which really isn't enough to cover the warehouse for a whole day but somehow we got through it!
Tuesday was spent trying to catch up with Monday's work & then Wednesday was interrupted as I had to go to the doctor.
My mum is so nice to me, she washes my Ikea uniform whenever I need it! So I met her on Thursday & we had lunch together at Innaloo.
Kristos was back on Thursday night but we were still short two people & it was really busy with people buying LOTS of beds & Lack shelves. Cam got in the shit for 'promising' some customers that the shelves would be in the shop on a certain day - but replen didn't get around to doing it! Rule number one: NEVER promise a customer anything! I volunteered to work again on Friday to cover Lolly's shift.
Then as usual, I worked at the shop on Saturday so by that night I was absolutely shattered & exhausted!
Lahra had given us a scale she got for free (I've never owned one, never saw the point as I'm not someone who worries about their weight!) which I wanted to give to charity but G said we should keep it. I'm a bit glad we have it as I weighed myself during the week & I'm currently 55.8kg. NOT GOOD!
I'm sure it's just from doing three days of Ikea last week instead of my usual one & I had a bit of an upset stomach as well. I need to put on some weight, stat! Also, my favourite S&B jeans are too big so I couldn't wear them this morning!
So tonight we're having spaghetti with garlic olive oil, pancetta & parsley with mushroom salad.
G has his operation next week so he's had to eat a minimum of 4 pieces of bread a day since last week. Poor thing is sick of bread!
Yesterday, G & I went to Bunnings to buy Jasper more cat grass, dropped in on my parents' & went to town. We also stopped off at a new store called Market (
http://www.tastesofwa.com.au/ in Mt.Claremont - it only stocks WA produce. I LOVE food shops like this, so I bought pear, apple & cinnamon porridge, more Olio Bello olive oil, fresh apple pie, limes, sago pudding & Boab chutney - YUM!
Borders - I bought three books - 'Nigella Bites', 'The Lost Life of Eva Braun' (Hitler's girlfriend) & 'The Kingdom Beyond the Waves' by Stephen Hunt.
My mum's pea & ham soup for lunch which I feel like having now as I can't feel my hands!
Time to do some work.
