I'm still working from home although I have to actually go to work tomorrow because the boss will be stuck up at her farm.
Stuff & photos.
Last Thursday, I picked up my watch! (photo below) It's awesome, I love it! I got held up getting my lunch at work on Saturday because all the guys in the Re Store kept wanting to see it haha
Friday - Lahra & I went to see Chelsea about flowers; the quote she sent me afterwards seems like a lot but I guess because of the type of flowers we're having it's actually pretty good & she has given me a discount which helps too.
Friday night, I had dinner with Jac at Arirang in town & then we went to Borders. I woke up on Saturday with a sore throat & stuffy head which made work fun since Kel didn't want to deal with customers as she is still in that 'ill' phase of being pregnant. We also worked out that she can't eat a lot of her favourite foods! No more soft cheeses, seafood, medium rare steak, ham or bacon; at least she can still eat hot chips!
G went to work on Saturday as well & did 14hrs straight which meant he came home at 2am. Sunday was Caden's christening (G's newest nephew) in West Perth & the rest of the day was spent being very slack.
I made banana & coconut cake! & pea soup with mint pistou.
Last week, I bought Mario Party 8 (one of the only things I'm actually allowed to buy this year) - the party boards are more interesting, but the games kind of suck since you have only the remote & no real button pushing games.
I haven't seen my parents' in a long time so we'll go tomorrow night after work & have dinner. They haven't seen my watch either! Since it's actually my 30th birthday present from them.
Saving money: Well, apart from Mario Party 8 & buying groceries, I haven't actually bought anything. This week however, I will be putting deposits down on flowers, decorations & invitation supplies & bomboniere so that's a bit scary. The bus fare has gone up again as well, so I've been walking everywhere.
Our front door is also officially broken: the screen door has been broken for a few months & now the lock plate where we put our keys in on the actual door has come off. We can't really afford it, but I think G is going to get someone over on Saturday - I'd rather that, then all of our stuff getting stolen.
Dinner tonight: marinated pork ribs & rice.
Now, time for a walk down to the bakery & supermarket. It's lovely out there.
My watch!
Banana & coconut cake!
