(no subject)
The weekend was a blur of activity.
G has insisted we watch 'Scrubs' continuously so we've just started Season 2.
G picked the wedding cake & we got a discount as the guy is one of my work clients'; then we went shopping in Claremont. I bought a Mimco necklace & found a potential maid of honour dress in Alannah Hill.
Jac came over yesterday & we went down to the Hyde Park Fair. After a few hours in the sun, we went into town & spent most of our time in Borders & Dirt Cheap CDs. Back to our place where I made bread with lemon extra virgin oil & meditteranean dukkah, lamb shishkebabs, spring onion rice & then chocolate mousse for dinner (except I ate jelly as I don't like chocolate that much)
We watched 'Pirates of the Caribbean 2: Dead Man's Chest' which was a bit better than the first one, but I couldn't really see what the hoo-haa was about.
Today was boring as batshit as we don't have a car, aircon & it was 39 degrees. We watched 'Scrubs' pretty much until we had to leave for dinner. My garlic prawns weren't as nice today but I had fun talking to Luke & Rachel about what they would buy with $3 million dollars. I told Luke that he should buy 3 million girlfriends' but he said it would be illegal haha
Dad very nicely came over so we could borrow his car & he stayed at our place with Jasper while we were out. I think mum enjoyed the couple of hours to herself as well.
It feels like I last went to work about a month ago. I wonder what hell will greet me in the morning.
I also applied for a fantastic job at the Concert Hall. It will be interesting to see if it goes anywhere.
I've started reading the Phryne Fisher series again from the beginning... I really should start one of those 16 other books I've never read first but I can't get motivated to read new material for some reason.
It's too damn hot to sleep.
