Down South & Wedding Shenanigans.
I Love Holidays!
We left a bit late on Wednesday as we had to drop Jasper all the way in Joondalup & then drive all the way to Busselton. We ended up stopping in Mandurah (who can resist Cicerellos) for lunch & then checked in Abbey Beach.
Thursday & Friday were spent going to Dunsborough, driving along Caves Rd to favourite wineries & of course going to Happs Pottery which I love. We went to Margaret River & had Simmos icecream, annoyed the helpful girls at the Tourist Bureau & had a steak dinner at the Knights Inn.
Saturday was spent mostly in the car as we drove to the Swan Valley for the wedding of stringy to her lovely partner David. The wedding was beautiful & both of them looked deliriously happy. We caught up with people we hadn't seen in years so that was great too. There were promises of going to Yum Cha for Chinese New Year - I've never been!
Then we had a loooooong drive back down to Busselton - stopping at Mccas to get some fuel (insert 2 x coffees for G) for the ride home. I managed to stay awake until we hit Bunbury, but then turned into a lost cause for the last 45mins drive. We got back in about 3hrs so that was pretty good - but we crashed as soon as we got back into the hotel.
We're back in Dunsborough today & then tonight we are off to see Jose Padilla (of Cafe Del Mar fame) spin tunes for New Years! Wahoo!
We leave on Thursday but as of today, I still have TWO weeks of holidays left! YAY!
Harlan arrives tonight in Perth too - woo!
I'm so damn hungry! Time for fooooood.
