A MATTER OF TIME
CHAPTER TWO: That's The Way It Is!
The next day while Emma was in the bathroom her mobile started ringing quickly wrapping herself up in a towel she ran out of the bathroom and picked up her phone which was laying on the bed.
"Hello" answered Emma trying to hang on to her towel that was slipping off
"Hello! Is this Miss Emma Watson?” replied a guy's voice
"Yes this is she but who are you?" asked Emma
"Oh you've forgotten me already boy maybe instead of giving you a kiss on the cheek I should've how do you say in England snogged you senseless" answered the mystery guy
"Jeremy!!" laughed Emma turning red from his comment
"And yes that is how we say it in England, so what came I do for you" said Emma still blushing
"Well I was going to ask you if you would like to come out with me today maybe we can check out the sights of New York" asked Jeremy smiling into the phone
"Oh I would love to but you can have me until the afternoon because Dan and I have an interview to do" replied Emma grinning
"That's perfect! So I'll meet you in front of your hotel in let's say 30mins" said Jeremy excitedly
"Okay I'll meet you there then" replied Emma twisting a strand of her hair around her finger
"I've really missed you. Okay I'll see you soon" said Jeremy
"I've missed you too! See you soon" giggled Emma
"Goodbye Emma! Remember in front of the hotel" came Jeremy's voice
"I'll be there! Bye Jeremy" answered Emma still playing with her hair as they both hung up.
As soon as Emma hung up she fell back on her bed squealing happily.
When Emma was finally ready dressed in plain jeans and a tank top she grabbed her bag on the way out the door she was waiting for the elevator when Dan walked out of his room, when Dan saw Emma he decided to ask her where she going dressed like that
"Hey Em! Where you off to in such a hurry" called Dan running towards her Emma turned around and saw Dan coming towards her
"Hi Dan if you must know I'm meet a friend" replied Emma as the elevator doors opened
"Don't tell me the friend your meeting is that guy what's his name ahhh Jeremy" spat Dan as he followed Emma into the elevator
"Can you stop this your being over protective, I can see who I like when I like I'm not your girlfriend okay" Emma said furiously
Dan was speechless but he wanted to get through to her so he stops the elevator before it could reach the ground level
"DAN what the hell do think your doing let me out" yelled Emma trying to open the elevator door
"No Emma I'm not letting you leave until we talk" yelled back Dan pulling her away from the door
"There is nothing you can do to stop me slapping you right now" yelled Emma looking frustrated
"Emma I just don't want to see you get hurt because some guy took you for a wild ride" said Dan
"Dan I'm a big girl I can look after my self but thank you for caring" replied Emma as she finally got the elevator to start again
"I can't help but care for you Em, we've known each other for four years its like your my girl and I don't want to see you hurt" said Dan looking very sincerely
"But that's the thing I'm not your girl I'm just your friend. But don't worry I won't get hurt I promise" said Emma giving Dan a hug as she walked out of the elevator and out of the hotel
"No Emma your wrong you will always be my girl" whispered Dan as he watched Emma disappearing from sight.

When Emma arrived outside the hotel she saw Jeremy standing there waiting for her and he was holding a single red rose as she was walking up to him Jeremy turned around and saw her
"Hey you! Wow you look gorgeous" Jeremy said looking at Emma up and down
"Hi, you look good yourself" Replied Emma blushing
"Oh here this is for you" said Jeremy giving Emma the rose "right are you ready for some sight seeing" Jeremy smiled
"Thank you its beautiful" said Emma taking the rose and smelling it "As ready as I'll ever be" Emma smiled back as Jeremy took her hand.
