(no subject)
i love listening to the rain before bed. something about it's just very soothing. and the abnormally cool weather is also a very nice change to the usual. fall's coming; I can't wait. i really do love the fall, even though it means having to go to school. hopefully there will be some sweet foliage :) and i really want to make a day trip to the white mountains with some friends this fall before it gets too chilly and unbearable.
i'm freaking out less than usual about the summer reading. presently, i'm working on my ántonia, which is actually enjoyable to read. although, i can only take fifty pages at a time and, thus, it'll take me three days to finish. tomorrow's my last day.
also tomorrow i have a drivers' ed lesson at 2:00 (anyone by chance scheduled in my car?!) ...and i promised to watch the neighbor's kid while she runs errands in the morning. i'll fit those last fifty pages in somewhere...
today, of course, i read. that was during the day, though, and tonight i had tim and kevin over to watch a movie. but, SURPRISE, beth, dan and shel pop in and hello now we have a party. so we were gonna order food but instead ate glorious pastries from Mike's @ the north end and made nachos. watched a Rage Against the Machine DVD for a few minutes to expose my brother to something new and then popped in Team America: World Police. and that is some funny shit right there. well, everyone left kinda early and now i have a little time to myself before i should probably get some sleep.
i've felt like such a lump lately. my back's been killing me and i haven't been up to doing much. my bike just went in for a tune-up, so hopefully, if the rain stops up later this week, i'll get out for a bike ride or something.
daisey came back tonight, she said, hopefully just in time to watch Entourage.. and i think tomorrow we will get out and about if i can find time in between doing neighbor favor and driving lesson. i miss her!
i'm not gonna read The Jungle.
i'm a little sad that there's a little over a week left of the summer, but i'm ready to dive right into junior year.
