I agree with you. Someone who generally cares about things that actually matter these days is rare. Amongst everyone in Johnny's, Tsuyoshi is easily the most "real," but at the time, he is also the most amazing because of that (that is my biased opinion, of course). It's hard to figure out if he's an optimist or a pessimist, but let's just go with "he's a thinker."

On the still important, but less serious side, it's a shame that he can't buy a rural house what with his need to be in Tokyo. That way his heart and music wouldn't be stifled. *sigh* ...I guess he'll have to continue to play softly :[

As I know Tsuyoshi never want to be a pop idol.
I think in hard and dark time of his life he realized that escape from reality is not a way out. So he often said through j-web that everyone must face the reality even though it hurts and try to find some light in it. )))
