Just got back from a short vacation earlier this evening
Had a very nice time, just visiting with my grandmother and dad down in Naples, FL. It was too cool for swimming, but that was ok with me (I'm too self-conscious to be in a bathing suit, lol). My sister Susann and I just hung out with them and caught up with each other and what we've been up to and exchanged fun memories. We were in FL from late Friday morning up to midday today. Then we had to drive up to Fort Myers to catch our plane back to Atlanta.
Nice time, though I have to admit, I'm glad to be back home. I was feeling rather homesick last night as I lay in the guest bedroom waiting for sleep to come. True, it was kinda my own fault, considering I didn't bring my mp3 player with me nor my drawing things (sketch pad, pens, pencils). Why? Don't ask. I was a goof to think I didn't need them, but oh boy...to not have your favorite things from home...it was a little hard to deal with (if only for a few days before coming back).
