Get a life!

So I'm incredibly mad right now. Last Monday, Matt and I carved a pumpkin...it was outside all week. Late last night, before I left his house, we carved a second one. I get home, walk to the front of the house to put it with the other one, and surprise, it's gone. I looked inside the house...nothing. I know my dad likes to move things without remembering to tell people so I was hoping that was the case, but it wasn't. I woke up today and asked him what happened to it and he had a blank expression on his face. He didn't know what happened to it, said that it was there all weekend, but when he went out on Saturday, one of the graves had been knocked over and he had to fix it. When I got home from class, I looked at it, and I could tell it wasn't knocked over from the wind because the stakes poked through it...in other words, it was most likely kicked over. So I guess I'll just buy new ones next year. Meanwhile, I'm pissed about someone taking my pumpkin. Who the hell steals a pumpkin? Wouldn't you think that most people would want to carve their OWN pumpkin? Isn't that the fun part? And you know who I suspect, of course...and if I find out that the fuckers who terrorized my brother through phone calls for a year are responsible, then begging for mercy is the last thing they're going to do on this planet. My dad suspects the same thing. All the neighbors' pumpkins are right where they belong, and there's a slew of Halloween stuff to take from a house down the street, so I have a hard time believing it was random. My dad casually said to get another one--they're only 2 dollars...but that's not the point. Matt and I spent 2 days decorating outside...he put off going home for a few hours to help carve the damn pumpkin when his back was killing him...and to have someone show a complete disregard for our property and hard work is just infuriating to me. Who can walk right up to someone's steps and take something with no fear of being caught? I'm afraid to have my other stuff outside--I don't want anything else taken or destroyed and I think it's ridiculous to be forced to bring stuff inside every night because of that fear. I'm just going to pray everything is left alone. Bottom line of this whole thing...if your life is so pathetic you need to resort to stealing one's pumpkin, then by all means, take the stupid thing...it's about all your life is worth.

So Matt's gonna pick up another pumpkin tonight and depending on when he comes here, we'll either redo it late tomorrow or early Wednesday.
