This from my neighborhood association:

Nasha Harmon Memorial Fund

Dear neighbors.

For those who don’t already know, a little 11-year-old girl named Nasha Harman died last week in a house fire at 1920 Carpenter Street. The funeral was this past Saturday at the New Light Beulah Baptist Church at 17th and Bainbridge.

A neighbor has established an account at the Sharon Savings Bank so that anyone wishing to may contribute toward funeral expenses. The family is very much in need.

At this point it seems the bank has collected just under $500 so far, and has put up $1,100 themselves. However the fund is still short around $1500 for the funeral.

Neighbors wishing to contribute may stop by the bank personally, or mail a much needed contribution to:

Nasha Harmon Memorial Fund
c/o Sharon Savings Bank
1900 South Street
Philadelphia, PA 19146

To all who have made a donation so far, we’ve been informed that the family is extremely grateful.

Thank you all very much as we try and help this family cope with an unbearable loss. Our prayers go out to the family and friends of Nasha.
