So I´m in Mexico right now and I LOVE IT. It is so awesome here. It is nothing like Acopulco (sp?)which is very touristy. The streets here are narrow and there are little jangus shops all up and down the street where you can buy stuff. Yesterday I got a bottle of water and cigarettes for only 24 pesos, which is $2.40. Badass!!! Everything is so cheap. There are also vendors all along the streets selling jewlery and such. Yesterday I got a badass neckless and a cool braclet for only $4.50...so expect gifts my friends!!!
My Mexican family is amazing. I can´t communicate with them very well right now because they talk so damn fast. I can understand my teachers in class because they talk slow and pronunciate. Hopefully I will get better at talking so I can actually talk back and not just look like a deer in headlights.
Anyways, back to my family...The house is a nice size, but there is about a millon people living there. Martha (my host mom) and her husband, Renee, are the grandparents. They have three kids. Only two live with us Renee II and Hacibe. Renee´s wife, Marisol, and Hacibe´s husband, Victor, live with us. Renee and Marisol have two kids, Renee III and Joseline. Renee is 6 and Joseline is 7. I LOVE THEM. Joseline has a dance recital on Wednesday so that should be fun. Also, Hacibe and Victor have a one-and-a-half-year-old named Danny. He is also precious. Then in the house there is another exchange student named Tyler. He has been here for six months so he helps me alot, but he leaves on Wednesday. So inculding Rachel (my roommate) and I, we have a house full.
We have a welcoming party tonight for all the new students. Hopefully that will be fun. Afterwards I think I´m going to go out for the first time. Being the badass that I am I have already found two cheefing buddies. This one guy from S. Alabama that is here with the same program as me has the hook and so does Tyler´s friend who I meet today but I can´t remember his name. Well they both have my number and I have theirs so maybe I can get some cheefing done,). By the way dope is really cheap here...too bad I can´t take it back to the states.
Anyways, I already miss my Layne and Laura and everyone else...I wish ya´ll could come visit me because ya´ll would LOVE IT. Well I need to leave the Internet cafe and go back to mi casa......ADIOS!!!
