Well it's been 10 days since Darian finally arrived after being 9 days overdue. I can't really complain though because my labour was only 3 and a half hours. He weighed in at 3820kgs (8lbs 4oz) and a long 52cms. Darian was vaccum delivered and I got a 2cm tear. I would like to take this time to thank a few people who made the experience for me so more easier to handle.
Those people being firstly my partner and father of Darian, Paul Penketh. Without you babe I would never have been able to endure the hours of labour to get our son out. He looks so much like you right down to his long legs and big feet. Thank you for giving me a perfect baby boy.
Secondly I would like to thank Lorna. Without you I would never have remembered to breathe through my contractions. You may not think that you were great help but I definately wouldn't have made it without you being there with me. Just your presence made me more relaxed. So thank you so much in helping me bring Darian into this world, you're the best!
Thirdly I would like to thank my midwife Susan-Jane who encouraged me to keep on going. Also keeping me going without wanting to use drugs for pain relief! I must say that I didn't think I could last so long without any pain relief but you helped me find the strength to not have any til right at the end.
Lastly I would like to thank the teeny tiny doctor who helped get Darian out. For someone so small I would never have guessed the strength in your arms. You're amazing for your size lol.
It's been 10 days now since Darian arrived and we're both doing very well. Ethan's taken to his baby brother so well and loves giving him cuddles and kisses all the time. Anyway I must be going as I have a doctors appointment. Laters.
Love always,
Chrissie
