San Juan de Girón, A town in the metropolitan area that still retains its colonial past...

San Juan de Girón, is ubicated in the Metropolitan Area of Bucaramanga,
called by locals simply as "Girón", has a population of 170,000 and is crossed by the "Río de Oro". 
It was established in 1636, after 5 years of negotiations with the aboriginal Indians. Now the town is divided into "Old Town" and "New Town".
