Golden Gate Bridge socks

This is a test of Livejournal's built-in image hosting, called the Scrapbook. So far I am not impressed, but I haven't installed an SSH client on my laptop so I can't upload pictures to our webserver. Lazy beggers can't be choosers, eh?

So anyways, to the content! Here is my latest knitting project, Golden Gate Bridge socks for elgecko!

If you click the picture for a larger version and squint a little, you can almost make out the bridge pattern just above the ankle. It's really very cool looking, but hard to see in the variegated yarn I chose. Actually, just go to the website I bought the sock pattern from, Suzi's Knits. You can see it great there.

I picked the yarn (Rockin Sox) because it's part machine-washable wool and part bamboo, and because the colors remind me of coffee. You would not believe how soft this yarn turned out to be on your feet.
