Well this past weekend, my Lauren and I made a trip out to Atlantic City to see Blondie. We decided to make a weekend out of it and left on Friday evening when I got off of work. The hotel was sleezy and a major rip-off. We got their kind of late, so we watched TV and went to bed. And I had a serious case of the hiccups. So Friday night was a C+.
Saturday, we woke up, layed around in bed, and went to go pick up our tickets at the box office around 12:30. We gambled on the $0.25 machines and headed back to the hotel after a rather large lunch.
We decided to see Napoleon Dynamite which I thought was funny. If you are in the mood to see a stupid movie, that movie is it. We then headed back to the Borgata to see Blondie. We made friends with the T-Shirt guy and we asked him if he worked for Blondie or for the hotel and he said Blondie. He continued to tell us how nice Debbie is and that she still has it for a 59 year old. We bought our T-Shirts and left. The opening band came out, no one great.
Blondie came on opened with "Atomic." Caught a few more songs before Lau had another kidney stone problem. She was in so much pain that we had to leave the show very early and drive back home from AC (About 2 hours away from home). Everything is alright now and Lauren is fine which is great, I'm just really upset that I missed the show and who knows if I'll ever see them live again.
I was able to snap a few pics with my camera phone though. And if anyone else was there, I was the one wearing the "Tough Guys Wear Pink" shirt. You really couldn't miss me. Also, I felt the crowd was a little too tame for the concert. What I saw was amazing and people were just sitting. I don't get it.
