(I suspect this will not be as exciting to anyone else as it is to me. Heh.)
The biggest drawback to my condo is the shared laundry room, with the teeny washer and dryer. It takes me four or five loads of laundry to just get through a basic week. That's just clothes, not towels and other linens.
I have dedicated Sundays to laundry since I moved here, and it eats the whole freakin' day. Plus it costs me $15 a week in quarters, on average, which I have to make puppy eyes at the Chase Bank staff to get, because I'm not a Chase customer, and my beloved credit union is too far away.
So anyway, the dryer broke last week, and is still not fixed, and in the process of researching non-skeevy laundromats to spend my Sunday morning in, I discovered the concept of Wash and Fold, wherein they charge you ~$1 per pound to Do Your Laundry For You.
I. You guys. Why did I not know this? I had a ton of laundry, way more than usual due to the extended dryer drama, and it was only $10 more than what I already spend, not counting my time, laundry supplies, and the agony of chasing down rolls of quarters all the time. And they were so pleased to have my business, and so helpful.
I think I'm in love.
