Normally I wouldn't lock a post this innocuous, but I feel like all of LJ/DW is reading over my shoulder, and I don't want to start wank on the post with the list because I am a smartass here. :D So far, there's zero wank over there, and I like it that way. (ETA: Unlocked because A.) it's not like I said anything inflammatory here, B.) so far no wank at all, and I'm down to a couple comments a day, and C.) I'm over my paranoia about being all over the net. Possibly prematurely, but whatever. :D )So, randomosity.I have a Twitter question--is getting verified a big hairy deal or something? I just was surprised at how many Twitter accounts that are clearly really that person aren't verified. I can see Michael Cudlitz,he's not exactly computer guy. But David Hewlett, our favorite geek?
*gets off lazy butt and checks* Ah, it's because the Verified thing is beta, and not everyone can have it yet. OK, answered my own question.
Semi-related,
this Tweet made me laugh, because, oh, honey, you have no idea.
(Keep in mind I haven't watched tonight's Criminal Minds, so please don't spoil me.)
I finally watched the season closer of Southland, and damn. Janila made me cry, especially at the end, with the witness protection, and being pulled away from everything she knows AGAIN, for about the fifth time in a couple of weeks. And Lydia, damn, I just. &hearts &hearts &hearts &hearts
It's a damn good thing Janila didn't stay with the Bryants, because Tammi and Janila would both be dead, and the dog, too. No way Tammi is set up to protect even herself. She's just really, really not up to being a cop's wife--that doesn't seem like it can possibly end well.
I was excited to finally see the mysterious Cesar, and he and John are so awesome and sweet in a totally guy way.
And Chickie finally did it, damn, and how scary was that car ride from hell with the raging, armed drunk cop? Though--I'da taken the keys away from him while he was out, I think.
I loved the bit where Cooper tells her she has to turn him in, and is all "If you don't, I will." I mean, yes, hardass, but kind of--it seemed like he was more about bolstering her spine in this tough situation than throwing his weight around for the joy of being a man. I love how he uses that, his whole former-Marine (is that canon, or wishful fanon from the GK community?) badass presence in so many different ways, depending on what the situation and the person needs. It just never seems like he does it just because he can--it's always (almost always, anyway) for a purpose, and usually a good purpose. <3
And! Here's where the Criminal Minds bit comes in: I am having the hardest time keeping Foyet and Dewey separate in my mind. It's even harder because Foyet is a psycho asshole, Dewey is a drunk asshole, and C. Thomas Howell is SO GOOD at playing assholes. I mean, who knew, when he was
young and adorable, or
slightly less young but still pretty (showing my age here, I'm afraid).
Also, whoa cliffhanger. I hope Clarke's going to be OK? Though I'm annoyed with him, but still, not annoyed enough to wish him dead. :D That would have to be pretty annoyed, huh? I swear there was something else I was going to say--OH! Dude. I made the reservation for the seaside motel for my vacation this afternoon. *dances around like Snoopy or something* Vacation! Is only a week and a half away!!! Whoohooo!
Ahem. :DAlso, damn, four posts in one day. How long has it been since I did that? Years?OK, back to the other post--it looks like it needs updating again, and I have replies to do.
