My sister moved to Missoula, MT last year to find better job/housing prospects and is doing quite well. My nephew and his girlfriend are planning to move there as well. Now my mother is thinking of moving too. Not too happy about so many family members leaving, although the reasons for doing so are quite sensible. As usual when someone else makes a change, you wonder if you should make a change yourself. I've always wondered how my life would have been different had I moved somewhere else when I was a heckuva lot younger. Not if it would be any better or happier, but it's hard to regret something you don't know.
Anyhoo, mom isn't going to be leaving immediately, especially since it could be difficult for her to sell the house at a decent price. It was my home for a long time, but I'm not going to miss it that much and I know my mother is really gettign tired of the endless repairs and upkeep involved with home-ownership.
We'll see how the rest of the year goes. Other than those possible changes, not much else in happening in my world.
