FACT: A toothbrush within 6 feet of a toilet can get airborne bacteria from flushing. So go ahead and picture where you put your toothbrushes in your bathroom and then estimate how far away that is from your toilet. I'm going to bet that it is within 6 feet, right? This is a gross fact but you'll thank me for it later in your life ( Read more... )

After all of these years of brushing my teeth I haven't gotten sick yet but then again I am weird about rotating toothbrushes often just because of the fact that it sits there wet. I did know about the bacteria flushing thing because of a Mythbusters episode. The things that you can learn on that show are amazing. I can't remember what their end conclusion on that show was actually. I hope they repeat it though so that I can watch again.

There is something to be said for falling asleep with the weight of another body beside you. My brother always talked about how he barely sleeps when he is alone and that the person next to him doesn't have to be there for a sexual reason or even touching him just as long as he knows they are there. I know now what he means after having spent many nights with someone alongside me. My pets help when the nights get lonely but nothing compares to the ultimate feeling of rolling over in the middle of the night to be faced with the one that you love.

I have watched a couple of Mythbusters episode and they are very interesting. The things they do to find out if something's real or not deserves an award.

I agree completely. It's weird how the knowledge that someone you care about or know is sleeping beside you. It's such a comforting thought.

I watched one a couple of days ago where they were in a whirlpool trying to figure out if it would kill a person and holding on by a tether while the water sucked them down. The guy ended up throwing up all over himself. I hope they get paid well and the research is very rewarding.

Even if you aren't touching it just is hard to explain how that feels. I do not know what it is like to have a child but I imagine that sleeping with Apple or Moses next to you has to be something altogether different.

And I also hope that they have good insurance. Those guys deserve so much recognition though and they're usually unappreciated.

It's funny because when you're sleeping next to your child, no matter how deep of a sleeper you are, your senses are just heightened. You wake up immediately and even when you're asleep, you can feel every single movement that they make.

After the first time I watched an episode I was hooked on it and have tried to catch it whenever I can ever since. They put themselves in danger so much for the sake of science.

My mom used to say that there was nothing better than having one of her children beside her with their breath blowing warmly against her skin.
