I'm not dead yet!
Ok,
Surgery is three days past. I don't wanna bore you with the sordid details, as it was outpatient, and went well enough.
Instead I regale you with "The Table." My wife and I saw this table at a furniture store in, Las Vegas a couple years ago at this point. We liked it oodles, but really didn't have any place for it. So, we made one. See, we have had this horrible "rumpus room" since we bought our house in 1998. It was, as I say, horrible, but somewhat daunting as a task. So we worked on other parts of the house. Backyard, Kitchen, Living Room, never really giving the room much thought. It was fine for crap storage, my miniatures painting table, and what-have-you.
Then we saw The Table.
Months later, the room is about 90% done, really only lacking some trim work, and staining of said. About two weeks ago, The Table arrived, and really completed the room all by itself. It was christened with a game of "Crafty Badger" by Reiner Knizia, and the family had blast.
I am a happy gamer.
