i was thinking about appreciation, giving thanks. there are people in this world who are leaders, and those that are supporters (followers is such a demeaning word). the top of the pyrimad wouldn't be there if it weren't for the support blocks. duh. and i just want to say that if it weren't for those people, those whose dreams are bigger then most wouldn't be where they are.
give thanks. especially to the less obvious ones. the ones we take for granted. it shows a great deal of charactor when you can give credit to your actions to the people who made it possible. 'cause when you don't, and you take all the credit, sooner or later you'll find that there are fewer around you willing to make the effort.
speaking of effort. what's so wrong with putting as much effort into doing something nice for someone else as you would for your own self? life is more then going through the motions- people appreciate when someone makes the effort to do things themselves. relying on others to pick up the slack because you've waited until the last minute to put things into action will only get you so far.
and that's where these two subject intertwine. giving credit to the people that made the effort shows how humble one can be. and being humble is such a great trait. in my eyes, anyway. when i see that trait in a person, i admire them all the more. and it gives me the opportunity to respect them and thank all persons involved in the action. no one is left unspoken and everybody wins.
i have so many thanks to give. god (or whomever it is that you believe in) put these people in my life and i am so fucking fortunate.
