actually, these are society's problems. besides, society concieved them. where is it written that if you don't have sex every night with a loving wife after a day at a job with a six-figure income that your life must "suck"? that assertion is formed by a society, not a singular person, and this person views themself as a failure-an outcast from SOCIETY. it is then a society's duty to reassure and support that person through evaluation of that culture's aims and goals, and whether they do or don't truly measure the value of a human life. we in this country do not do that enough. we look at the worth of the human life and THEN assess the validity of the farcical commercialized culture that drove him/her to the edge. ashley is right, it's the holden caulfield effect.

yes, matt, they surely can. but the ethical standard does not change. it is still the same situation, and the same code of morals applies. it is crucial that we all live under one set of laws. if we lived under two, neither would be legitimate
