hooray.
i couldn't fit singers, sorry lathrop. i realize that it will be hard for you to sing two guys parts at once instead of just the tenor, but there's nothin i can do. i'll be independant study during A, so if any of yous guyses are IS too, we have to try to do the same one because if we don't it'll be booooooooooooooring.
during last year mom told me that it was imperative to visit colleges when they are in session. this summer, she told me that i needed to do all of my college visits before school starts (she's workin' full-time now, it wasnt' completely arbitrary). well, the bottom line is, now i'm done. i'll apply to emerson (communications), northeastern (co-op), umass ($), and gordon (in case, for some unforseen reason, i have to stay realllllllllly close to home). all but gordon have early action (non-binding), and since we do our college essays during AP english boot camp, i'll be able to get all of my applications in by mid-november. not that that's the moment of truth anyways, i'll stil have to wait in line for the FASFA fluff in april (or whenever it is).
nobody gives a crap at market basket and its starting to annoy me. i am now officially the stores...rhymes with titch...because whenever anyone needs some menial job to be done, instead of doing it themselves, they ask me to do it. i know that i'm a cork in the ocean working there, but it can rilly suck sometimes.
i have a lot of summer work to do. i'm done with the diagnosis, and it was great. it reminded me of catcher in the rye and the great gatsby. good stuff. i'm 1/2way thru poisonme er, poisonwood, and making slow progress. ruth may makes me laugh. adah's character is the best part of the book to me. rachel reminds me of rosa sharon. i tried to read things fall apart first, but the plot, conflict, and characters were about as developed as the author's handle on the english language, so i threw it aside to read last. i'm done with the euro bio (chuchill is the cooooolest) but still have the folly packet to do. anybody who wants to, maybe sometime on labour day weekend we can get together and knock that off together.
i'm singing the national anthem for a celtics game sometimes this season, take that womens' choir!
its official, i sent a letter to RSE (melissa), and i gave them the bad news. i feel like i let all of them down, like a benedict arnold or somethign. bad feeling.
youth group trip was awesome! i spent some time around some new people and rode tons of rides thanks to our new concept of not staying in one huge clump. i'm going to be much more involved with youth group this year, i want to go to cell groups every week, and choir and chuch every week and the cantata play and all that jazz.
q picked a play. "our town" was clever and thought-provoking, so i have high hopes for "the skin of our teeth". "a year with frog and toad" will be the harlequyn musical this november. we'll see how that goes (is november 4-6 a competition weekend?). i plan to do it, but it might be hard for a lot of people to do. with band and the play, not a lot of people will want to add another show to their dockett (yes, dockett).
ben's at the sox game tonight. our family wanted to go to a sox game (so we decided last week). we went on stubhub, but we would've had to pay an arm and a leg to go. my mom offered to buy a game from mr. tyman, and he offered to just take me to a game instead! he's a really great guy (not just because of this, but also for the youth group trip ticket thing and tmpo and everything else), and i'm pysched about going to my first game since 2003!
good luck to all of those leaving for school! i've been crappy at seeing people before they left this year (i find that i'm better at welcoming people back home in december). just find a niche where you can be you, dont' settle for anything less.
this is a lonnnnnnnnnngggggggg entry, if you made it to here, thank you for your patience, if not...i understand.
