This weekend Stacy and I had a photo day and went to some "junk" yards and a few salvage places. It was really fun! Stay did a roll of color slide 35mm and I took something like 4 or 5 rolls of 120 and 2 packs of Polaroids. At the end of the day I dropped of 7 rolls of 120 fill at the lab. 3 rolls of Xpro and 1 regular color and 3 black and white rolls. Damn dude. I can't wait to get the scans back. I hope they turn out good. I kind of think they will be mediocre at best but that maybe because I am not a huge fan of how most of the polaroids came out. But I hadn't shot in the super bright sun in a long time with my land cameras so that may have been getting me down.
I already have a location for where I want to shoot next weekend! It's this great little industrial area and I also would like to try some night shots of Lake Merritt. That will kind of depend on how the night shots I took come out when I get the scans back this week though. I want to experiment but don't want to waste film. I need to get a tripod also, my mini one might not work for what I am planning in my head already.
Carol (works at looking glass and is my new film buddy) took some great shots of Lake Merritt at night and thats what got me thinking that I should try and use some slide film and do some night shots over there. You can check out her photos here...
She is awesome.
This weekend I also painted our room! Stacy and I wanted to do an accent wall that was yellow but I think that I went above and beyond. I love it and Stacy does too. Ever since we did it we have been spending a lot more time in our room.
