Ah, c'est la vie, la vie de merde...
I hate typing on French keyboards, but that is what I am doing right now...
I am so pissed off, I don't know where to begin. I think that this language, which is theoretically not that hard to learn, is impossible to master. As a friend of mine here put it: "every day here I get a constant reminder of how inept I am at this language." My marks in my French grammar course are terrible, and no matter how hard I try, I can't obtain a french accent. In a store I will ask for something in perfect french and they will respond in english. WHAT THE HELL, I am trying to speak YOUR damn language which you think is the END ALL AND BE ALL of ever bit of humanity, and you respond in english.
This week was hell, I had a lot of work and was sick for most of it.
At least there are the weekends. The craziest night last weekend went as follows:
1. Went to this cool fondue place where they serve wine in baby bottles (don't ask me why), I got kinda drunk off a couple of them so I don't remember how, but some ass from Washington D.C. who was drunk on his honeymoon with his wife kept saying "socially liberal, fiscally conservative", I told him to shut up and several of my friends told him to go to his wife...
2. Went to Duplex a club that normally rocks but was lame, had a few tequila shots, danced, had more drinks
3. Girl on the dancefloor goes into a seizure at about 3am
4. Leave to catch the first metro at 5:00 am, go to Pomme de Pain to get some food, slip on the wet stairs to the metro and hit my head
5. I start babbling about something after hitting my head, then me and a friend see a drunk guy jump onto the electrically charged metro tracks, run to the other side, and pull himself up
6. Watch the same guy jump back onto the metro tracks to come to the other side, and pulls himself onto the platform, still unharmed
