Hey all!

So its been about a week since I got here and I'm sorry i haven't updated you yet but I have been mad busy. I got here on Thursday pretty late and spent a cold night in a lame sleeping bag. The next morning I woke up to snow! It was real cold but also the campus looked beautiful! The next day I got my uniform and everything and started to get settled in my house. It was really gross when we got here but my roommates and I have done a pretty good job of cleaning the place up. Here's a list of some of the things that we found in the house when we moved in:

1. Pile of short dark human hair on the floor of my bedroom. Pubes? A beard? Someone shaved their head? We will never know.
2. Under my bed I found a used condom, a pie plate, a new box of crayons, and a open packet of "antifungal cream". Eeeew.
3. Loooots of porn. Lots.
4. A sweet barbershop sign that we hung outside. Everyone calls our house the Barber Shop.

The house was scaring me pretty bad, but I don't even notice it anymore. Its starting to feel like home already! Most of last week was spent bonding with new friends and getting comfortable here, along with a couple of trainings. On sunday the weather was beautiful and my roommates and I put our loveseat out onto our porch and hung out in the sun looking out at the water. It was really relaxing and made us feel energized and refreshed. The sunsets here are absolutely breathtaking. On monday we started PT and got our team assignments, it was a big day. I'm on Badger Six. My Team Leader, Drew,  is really cool and there are some neat people on my team, but also some that I am fairly worried about spending the next ten months with. I'm sure it will be fine. Military style PT is definitely going to take some getting used to! I'm sure if you guys could see me in formation you would find it pretty amusing, haha. I am very very sore and its a little loud and "motivated" for me but im sure it will get better. This weekend I think im going to DC with one of my friends, so that should be fun, and tomorrow I am taking my van driver certification test. I guess thats about it for now, I love and miss you guys!
