"Everything is only for a day, both that which remembers and that which is remembered. Always run the short way and the short way is natural. Observe constantly that all things take place by change, and accustum thyself to consider that the nature of the universe loves nothing so much as to change things which are, and to make new things like them. For everything that exists is in a manner the seed of which will be." -John Steinbeck's EoE

In all my days of wondering... are our futures predetermined. Was I meant for this? Am I meant for you. Is this meant for me?

MEANT : to have an intended purpose means well>

Our purpose. That is the question. What is our purpose? To satisfy a God up there? To satisfy the people around us? To satisfy ourselves?

SATISFY:  to conform to (as specifications) : be adequate to (an end in view) b: to make true by fulfilling a condition satisfy an equation>
PURPOSE:  something set up as an object or end to be attained : intention b: resolution, determination

We all wait to fulfill our purposes, whether you believe we do or do not have a purpose for whoever requests of us one. For us who don't wait to fulfill our purposes, we're waiting for a purpose all together. Do we just sit around on or under rocks until they hit us on the head? Do we sit and dilapidate away, withering to the sounds of chainsaw racket of luberjacks and sights of shiny metals tools in doctor's hands? When do we initiate our standing up? Our walking towards a destination?

DESTINATION:  : the purpose for which something is destined.

Once again... is our purpose predetermined? No it is not. I won't let it be.

DETERMINATION: : the act of deciding definitely and firmly ; also : the result of such an act of decision b: firm or fixed intention to achieve a desired end determination>

...

LOVE: 4 a: unselfish loyal and benevolent concern for the good of another: as (1): the fatherly concern of God for humankind (2): brotherly concern for others b: a person's adoration of God
