in which there are so many more-fun things to do besides running.

i managed to get in a great run before i left home on Friday: 3 miles in less than 33 minutes (around 32:40, unofficial, watching clock rather than stopwatch). i was stoked, and determined i'd keep up running in Maine come hell or high water.

very little hell or high water later, i've managed to run - sort of - ONCE. Monday was a non-starter as i was pretty wiped from the weekend. i thought about making it up Tuesday, but the opportunity to be lazy and then head out to Harpswell with Dave meant it was easy to put off (i did get in a long hike though). waking up with a stomachache yesterday meant i put off running until the early afternoon; it was gorgeous out, and i ran steadily - including up hills - for about a mile and a half to two miles... before more abdominal cramps forced me to a walk and shortened my route.

somehow, someway, i'm going to finish 3 miles tomorrow, hills and all. i badly need the conditioning for my next 5K, on October 15th. part of registering for this 5K was the promise to myself that i'd keep running over vacation this time. dammit.

EDIT: from friday... WTF is up with my stomach that i can't run hills without feeling like my abdomen is gonna explode in a shower of poo?
