Palimpsest release party tonight
Sooj. Cat. Palimpsest. All three are in my future…today!
S.J. Tucker (s00j!) and Catherynne M. Valente (yuki-onna!) will reach Portland for my fair town’s Palimpsest (!) release party. It’s a novel by Valente that’s inspired a lot of Sooj’s recent music.
They’re performing tonight at 8 at the Camellia Lounge (510 NW 11th Ave.), where I saw Sooj’s group Tricky Pixie last summer. Having not read the novel or heard much of Sooj’s Palimpsest-y music yet, I know almost nothing of what to expect. But I expect to be glad I’m there.
