How does this new year sound?

So. Two Thousand Twenty.

We're one day into this new year and there already have been SO MANY jokes (and attempted jokes) about "20/20 hindsight!" and "I'm Barbara Walters and this is 20/20" while, meanwhile, I figure:

This is going to be a big year. A year where, based on what the last five or six years have been like, it will seem like an especially large amount of Stuff will happen. And, to me, calling it "Twenty-Twenty" seems...kind of small.

So. So, far, I'm calling it Two-Thousand Twenty. The way I preferred to refer to refer to the year 2010 as "Two Thousand Ten." (This also refers to the novel 2010: Odyssey Two by Arthur C. Clarke and the movie adaptation, 2010: The Year We Make Contact.)

2021 will probably be "Twenty Twenty-One," because that's easier to say than "Two Thousand Twenty-One." But that's a year from now.
