Ah, fall. Good walking weather. And this evening's route took me off Pill Hill (stopping to give campus directions to a guy headed up the hill), down to Portland State University and the Streetcar line, which I rode to the library, then weaving through downtown to the central Borders, to be sure I could get a particular CD and a particular DVD. (I can. I didn't. I will.)
I also saw an arrest at a Max stop. With a Max train stopped short of the stop, where the cops and a guy on his knees were, so that the train was blocking traffic on S.W. Third. A cop car drove up to the stop from another direction to take the man away, so that train was really not going anywhere immediately. At 6 o'clock or so. I'm glad I was on foot.
I continued to Waterfront Park, because I like reminders that the water is right there, and crossed via the Hawthorne Bridge (which you can see
here, thanks to
greyaenigma). The #10 bus and, once again, my feet got me home.
I walk. It's what I do.
