Water Meet iPhone...
Ok, I know it was awhile back...but this is what happened. I drive a Jeep Wrangler - YES, I KNOW WHAT A CLICHE I AM - GAY MALE, SHAVED HEAD, DRIVES A JEEP...BLAH BLAH BLAH.
Anywho, I was driving and without thinking I placed my iPhone into the cup holder. Normally this would not be a problem - but I am very famous for leaving the top off even in the rain. So after 12 hours of a down pour one need not say that there was water in the cup holder. Unless one is dealing with me. It so easily slide down the cup holder and into a quarter inch of water. As I lifted it up, the water rolled down my arm...
Turning it on the screen was a joy - the first and last time I have ever seen a rainbow coloured screen. I did all the research I could on the internet for bring back a wet iPhone, all that I found was the main thing - DO NOT TURN ON YOUR IPHONE - which was the first thing I did. Guess the first sign of shorting out your mobile is the smell of burning wires. Hope begins to fade soon after.
So off to the Apple Store I went the next day. To be honest, I get very lucky - just stated that it stopped working and was unsure what happened. Maybe it was too busy, or I was too nice but they gave me a new iPhone.
