Left to Rot

Well...apparently my unit decided to just leave me here and not tell me when I'm going back. Funny. I know they didn't like me, but damn, they coulda just said it.

Being out here, and just being alone most of the time gives me a LOT of time to think. A ridiculously long amount of time.

I've come up with some good shit, though.

Namely, I've got ideas for two different adventures set before the start of Rob's second game. They'd make great movies or mini-series. Namely, it's set under the pretext that Walker needs Slash back as his bodyguard. Since the events of game one, Slash has sorta wandered (dimensionally speaking). Now I haven't figured out quite how to nail it, but the first adventure will send Raynor to a nuclear-scorched world where a techno-mage society rules from the sky (somewhat a cross between the Necromongers from Chronicles of Riddick and the dimension-hopping bad guys from Sliders). It is at this world where Raynor has to hunt down Jason, Xanthos Marshallus's best friend. Jason is a gifted individual who can by his own means traverse dimensions. Jason is the only person that can help Raynor find Slash.

Through this adventure, Raynor gets to meet, fight, and otherwise dispense pleasantries with various characters such as Overseer Jessai, the sexy warden of the ground-based prisons (who does make passes at Raynor, who regrettably has to decline...not without causing obvious plot tension), Exel Vaulkner, unwitting leader of the resistance (noting a trend here?), and Air Commander Blair, a talented and evil pilot who for some odd reason resembles our hero...

The second adventure gets to be much more light-hearted, as Raynor and Jason travel to the world which Slash is at. In this world, the sky resembles what we knew as the Spanish Main. Expect some midair swashbuckling as Raynor hires a certain familiar airship captain to not only help find Slash, but to pull off the ultimate grand theft aero! Skydiving, boarding at ten thousand feet, aerial larceny, and to think it's all part of something more grand....

Yes, yes, as you can see, I got a LOT of time to think about it. Too bad the people I need to consult with most are really hard to get a hold of.

So, any questions? I'd be happy to answer.

But I've thought about more things than that. Man, I really do need to get back home.
