Regional Jets

Aug 17, 2021 15:25

I recently had cause to fly down to Gainesville Florida. For a variety of reasons, I looked at flights from Indianapolis to Gainesville, which involved going to Charlotte and taking a regional jet (specifically, a CRJ700) to Gainesville.

Now, largely because I live in the Chicago area and fly Southwest, I wasn't very familiar with these jets. But over the past few years, they've become very common. Common enough that I now find places like Champaign's Willard Airport offers flights with these planes. In fact, I could have flown out of Willard, which since my mom who lives nearby accompanied me, would have been much easier.

Live and learn.
