On Introversion
It's hard to meet people when you are an introvert, like me, often requiring extraordinary bouts of extroversion either chemically induced (caffeine, alcohol, etc..) or those rare instances where my inner extrovert decides to make an appearance all on his own. Occasionally I'll run into people who seem to easily connect with introverts. Never introverts themselves they seem to innately understand how it all works. I wish more people did.
I don't really consider it social anxiety either. Maybe it is, I'm not sure. I do know that it takes a lot for me just to answer phone calls much less make one (If you get a call from me know that you are indeed special to me).
Meeting new friends is a challenge, more so than becoming reacquainted with past friends. But imagine if you will being introverted in the age of digital dating. Finding and meeting someone online. Nearly impossible.
