Crazy long day.
Out and on the water by 6:30 AM. Nothing challenging, just getting my kayak wet. Felt good even if it wasn't in my old lake boat. The water at the base of the damn (Chattahoochee River) is so cold though. And I run cold now to begin with so I've been freezing all day long.

Donated platelets today at the Red Cross. Pulse 52, BP 108/70 so those are good lines especially for just walking in.
Last week I had a vein blow but pretty much right after the stick so it was no biggie. Well today I had a huge blow out about 5 minutes in with the platelet machine pumping red blood cells back into that vein. Seriously gross but fascinating to watch the vien and whole area ballooned up the size of a golf ball as the tech tried to shut the machine down and keep me from leaking too much lol. Just a little blood but it's all good. The area is super sore now.
Compounding it all is I'm deathly afraid of needles and all of that so having him go after a different vein wasn't pleasant.

Worked on a new furniture project the remainder of the day. Hoping to get it finished by the weekend. I'll post pictures later. It's going to be a black metal shelf unit with an oiled cypress top and glass shelves. It's the top part of an old bakers rack and should end up about 42 inches tall.
