Today, I called around to every orthodontist office listed in the phonebook in Gainesville, and they're ALL CLOSED ON FRIDAYS. I called some general dentist offices and some of them were closed, too. If they're not completely closed on Fridays, they close early. The ones that were open didn't have the little tool you need to cut wires. Gee, life must be pretty good for these guys in Gainesville, working Monday through Thursday and having 3 day weekends every week.
So, I did my own orthodontic work. Using a nail clipper, I clamped the wire and moved it myself. Amazingly, this worked. My cheek is no longer getting stabbed every time I take a bite!
In other big news today, I sold back my Accounting books from the fall semester for $34. The same books nobody would buy back for more than $5 at the beginning of the semester because they had too many already. My only hope really was to wait until the end of the semester when they'd allow for a larger inventory, but at the same time, they could have gone with a newer edition next semester and I would've gotten $5.
