(no subject)
Today at work, I was paid to do about 1.5 hours of actual work and play 3.5 hours worth of games. It was magnificent. They said this kind of thing happened a few times in the Fall, but they didn't think it would happen anymore, especially since we were about 16 hours behind on Monday. That's a lot of backlog. When I left work on Wednesday, it was looking like they were going to be open on Saturday to try and catch up. Then all of a sudden, today, we got caught up completely to the point where we weren't getting any work, so we were all just playing solitaire, minesweeper, freecell, etc. and getting PAID to do it. That was quite fun. On the one hand, I kept getting the feeling that I shouldn't be playing games while working, but our bosses flat out tell us that if there's no work, they will pay us a flat fee (which is the same as I'm getting for my first 80 hours of work, anyway) to play games. LOL. Anyways, time to go out to dinner, or something.
