It's Been a Long Time ... Been a Long Time...

Wow... last post was in September. Many months have passed. What is new you ask? Well... not really a heck of a lot. I've been seeing someone new for the last 2 weeks and it seems to be going well so far. He lives about an hour away though in St.Catherines. The distance really isn't an issue, but at the same time you really can't have an impromptu coffee date whenever you want. I guess long distance relationships have their perk though. For one, you have all the free time in the world during the week to get all your shit done. No need to rush to the gym.. or miss your favorite tv show to get together. Secondly, it gives you a chance to really miss each other during those 5 days of not seeing one another.

I don't want to jump the gun too quickly and fall in love just to have my heart broken as I have many times in the past. So we are taking it slow.

So my birthday is coming up in 2 days. Wow, I'm turning the big 28. Not a kid anymore. Time to start planning for the future. I've always wondered as a kid where I'd be by the time I was 30. Well 2 more years and I'm there. Better get cracking on those goals. I think the most important thing is to get a place to live. I mean I'm 28 for godsakes and still live at home. I think the quote from Mambo Italiano says it all.. "Italian kids only move out when they're either married or dead." Well I guess in my family it has become the opposite. My brother got married in October and he's living at home with his wife (taking over my lovely basement abode).. and my youngest brother moved out in November to live with his Non-Italian girlfriend.Eeek!
I guess I just want to move out and be comfortable. I don't think I'd want to rent because once you start renting you never get ahead (or it becomes really difficult and you end up making HUGE lifestyle sacrifices).

Anyways, I guess my little rant is over... I think i'll be writing more often as it is very therapeutic (plus it helps the day go faster while I'm at work.. hee hee). I'll keep you up to date (as if anyone is reading this) on what's happening in my life.

Ciao for now...

Chris
