Despite the world changing in March, I still managed to squeeze in more shows in around 75 days than most people see in a full year.
Epica, the Agonist, and Blackguard
Feast Of Friends (Tribute to the Doors), Woodwolf, and Serion
Korn, Breaking Benjamin, and Bones UK
Hot Water Music, Cancer Bats, and Full Blast (saw this show two nights in a row)
Machine Head
Montreal Canadiens Skills Competition 2020
Blushing Brides (Tribute to the Rolling Stones), Rough Gentlemen, and Paul Cargnello
Refused, Youth Code, and Racetraitor
Devin Townsend, Haken, and the Contortionist
Maggots (Tribute to Slipknot), Sawyer Path, and the Altruist
And one of my biggest takeaways of the year? I haven't really missed going to shows. I have seen that the same people who refuse to take any safety precautions that might help someone else, are the same people who would always come to shows late, push through the crowd, and insist on standing directly in front of shorter people like me, even though they are six foot six.
I don't miss these selfish, rude people that I encountered at shows. I just wish I could avoid them in all aspects of my life.
