Mid-Season Cliffs
SG-1: wow. Umm spending money slashed?
SGA: How the hell am I to wait 6 months?
SG-1: Like Oh my God, Daniel was actually standing next to someone other than Vala some of the time!
Can we just stop and all ask our selves how we can become the dress attendent for the show, cause obviously they are just throwing CB clothes and letting Vala look INSANE. Oh wait, too late. But honestly, like jessm78 points out, the neon green night ... things on the top of her head was seriously an over kill. I swear Sam was not to thrilled. Besides the whole Vala laying her head on Sam's arm. Dude... go back to bed if you are that tired. Man! And now that Vala is part of the "Team" she should know better then that.
Ok once more, really loved the sets, costumes, very nicely done. I can't ever complain much about the sets of costumes, unless it's a 'Looks like Canada!' set. Oh yes there was acting involved... with the costumes and in the sets... I have to admit, yes it dragged. A bit. I did like seeing Daniel using his brain and skills. Wow he must have woken up and done his research.
Oh and a fic challenge to anyone... What did everyone give up for the "generousity" challenge? Ok I know we discovered what some where later... but what do YOU think they gave up/why?
I loved how they had to do the 5 pure of heart things... at first I thought maybe it represented the 5 members of SG-1 and each one of them embodied one of the qualities. I think I was trying to see some deeper meaning then there meant to be seen... (could be a very good fic... I will consult the muse and see what she says)
Nice to see good ol' Ba'al... can't go far without Ba'al... And then that library dude spouting off his very Ori sounding phrases:
"One will not see the truth unless they have both eyes open"
Yup sounded suspicious to me too Danny - glad you had your coffee and noticed! Um jumped and told the TV off when Daniel quickly jumped to Vala's aid... but then I suppose it was his desision to accept to be the lamb for the group. Poor Daniel. Always the whipping boy. *sigh* So I did calm down a bit after at. And my goodness, did we see Daniel TRANSLATING??? I almost fell out of my chair! (Ok I put my cross-stitch aside and stared at him... did he ever translate before? So long since he has ever done something like that...)
Ok now to the "budget" - um cheesy dragon, anyone? And what was up with everyone (aka Sam) saying it could not be a real dragon. Haven't they fought enough weird things to know there could be real dragons out there?
So ya, if I knew how to animate, I'm sure I could have come up with a crappy dragon too... How many full-time graphic artist do they have? How many AWESOME battles have we had? And all we get is this bowlegged, half assed Dragon?
S10.b's opener: Vala's eyebrows get singed. How will the team react? *takes sarcasim, drips it over last sentence*
SGA: AAAAAHHHHH Once more the PTB had to just nail a cliffhanger that makes me want to scream!! (yes I screamed at the TV)
I did not like Mopey!Weir, as I posted to moonshayde LJ. I thought it was slightly out of character. I did love that we got to see Carson, Merid... McKay, John and some of the others our of their element.
I agree, I like how Carson was welling up there.. McKay *punch nose* had to have another McKay!moment... nothing is sexier then a Scot sharing emotions... in a Scottish accent... yum! I did see a bit of S1 finale mirrored in this ep. Rebellious team goes to get their home back.
So do you think we have made contact with real Ancients or have we been fooled by the replicators? In 6 months we will know... until then, let the fics flow!
I have to admit, I am getting into SGA, and will be watching once SG-1 leaves... The characters may have some of the same qualities as SG-1, but I think the PTB have tried to make sure we see McKay funtioning only in Atlantis and John not comfortable on SGC soil (hehe thought it was funny how we had some S6 mirror too - with John trying new team members... and they get hurt/transfered off the team...)
Ok well it is VERY late, and I have to go back to work in the morning (left an obit waiting - oh joy)... just my insane rant... on my insane obsession...
