Day 2 advice: Don't kill the lurking character, you always need someone to blame. Unless you write in your cat as a sudden character, you may need him/her as a fall guy. It is, however, perfectly acceptable to beat him/her up in the mean time. I hear lurkers like the hospital

I'm surprised for my first year at doing NaNo the words are coming. I am thinking it can't last long... sometime my brain will get to the wall I have been trying to climb for a very, very long time to over come my lack of a finished "novel". Fanfic novel, hell yea, original.. hell to the no can do. :/

I can completely relate to everything you are saying here. It's SO my story as well! I'm really hoping this forced saturation will kick my brain back into real productive original writing mode (like it has not been in in well over a decade). I don't want to say anything too soon, but it might actually be almost working. I think there are a lot of magical writing vibes floating around the universe during NaNo, and it helps you make miraculous creations you might not manage at another time.:)
