So the car wasn't as bad as it could have been. $330 to get the transmission fixed. I've still got the list of 7 or 8 hundred dollars of further work that I need to get done eventually, but I do at least still have a running car that takes me places.

Also I've been staying at my grandmother's house, the one in south portland. So the solitude's been nice. I did finally manage to get out last night, get high and hit denny's with Louis and Julie. Good stuff.

Which reminds me, I found some weed. After over a month off, which even if it didn't turn out to be a great financial blessing, is still pretty good. Although I did definately drink more. But it's nice to have again. And though I still haven't called it (haven't needed to) I do now have the phone number of I guy I went to high school with who sells and apparently will be expecting my call, and willing to sell to me. If that does work it'll be cool. He might be connected to get other stuff too.

And I finished the sopranos. And I don't get what all the fuss was about the ending. I thought it was perfect. The last few episodes were great, intense, wrapped up a lot of story. In fact I think more shows/books/whatever should have more open endings, it can be very effective. Althouygh I'm not really sure how open it was--there were a few good hints dropped that Tony was gonna get hit. Why have the shot of the guy walking into the bathroom? But anyways, I guess they wanted to let the viewers decide. Which is good. All the major character's last scenes seemed to indicate very clearly where their life was headed (very very clear in the cases where they died). Anyways, I'm rambling, but I thought it was a great ending.

Ok that's it. I need to buy some groceries and figure out how to spend the rest of this day.
