(no subject)
My day has been pretty good. still sick but i dont feel like it.
The sweetest thing ever happened today! Me, Wayne, Nick, and David went walking and we saw an old man trying to cut his grass but he kept falling to his knees and trying to push the lawn mower on his knees and he hesitated when we came over to help him. He was tall, really skinny, looked like he went through a stroke because he was drooling a little bit when he talked to us. after nick took the mower from him, he ran over to his wheelchair with a big grin and wheeled himself over to where we were sitting. he kept pulling out his wallet and then he finally showed us something, it was his badge from when he was a police officer 40 years ago. He had tattoos all over his arms and dark skin and a sign in the garage said, "Welcome Home Charley!" in faded red white and blue letters so i figured he was in a war. he told us he was a soldier in WW2. it was really cool to hear him talking about it, even though we could barely hear him over the sound of nick mowing his grass. Then he invited Nick and David inside and gave them a pepsi each and he told nick that he had no money to give him and we told him it was a favor and went on the rest of our walk. That was the saddest thing i have ever seen in my life! :(
