It has probably been the most intense weekend since I moved here as far as doing things and people in the house. Rachel's friend Erin is staying with us, and Amy was here Friday and Saturday nights. Garrick and me were together almost constantly since Friday night.

Friday: work, peace rally, phone call with sister, group meal and cake eating with housemates and co (nine of us!), Garrick spends the night.

Saturday: Prop 8 protest, farmer's market, lip piercing, hair cut, bleach hair, Garrick comes over, Jaime comes over, dye hair, Amy comes over, drive to Walgreens (twice) for new dye and ice cream, housemates and co demolish ice cream in record time, redye hair, Scrabble game commences, Garrick spends the night.

Sunday: Me and Garrick don't go to church because we sleep from 12-3am and then 6am-noon, spend some alone time (laundry, journal, dishes, Bright Eyes), drive Amy and Garrick and cats to Vancouver in slow traffic, drive back to the Winch, pick up housemates (Anna and Adrienne), drive to Voodoo Donuts and pick up three buckets of donuts, drop the new cat at Amy and Garrick's, drive downtown and set up Food Not Bombs (two loaves of bread, donuts, carrots and a guitar), Rachel and Erin (they biked) show up with a container of sauteed vegetables, play music and snack until other people arrive around 6:30, two other folks arrive on bike with a big pot of curry and go to Subway to get cups and spoons, cuddle with Garrick, draw hopscotch with Adrienne, take the MAX with Garrick to MLK and then use his bus pass to get home (yay us - healthy decision making), shower (lost some hair color!), house meeting (one of our best - very chill and cozy), helping eli* with the book eli* is editing, good chat with Garrick.

Tonight I was getting a little shakey, but the house meeting and the conversation with Garrick not only cheered things up, but made things much better. I really like this life, you guys. I'm stressed about work tomorrow and I wanted to get to bed earlier tonight and there's a bunch of things I'd like to get done...but I like this. And I'm proud that I got myself here.
