Have y'all seen Dollhouse? Joss Whedon, Eliza Dushku strike again. I'm hoping this gets the awesome publicity and corporate credence that Firefly never did.

It's a good goddamn series.

Watched it. Liked it, but didn't love it. It's got a LOT of potential and hope it gets the attention and money it deserves.

It can easily turn into an amazing show, and I hope it does.

I'm going to have to give it another shot. I got maybe a third into it, and my TiVo gave up the ghost on me. Irritating, especially now, when I really shouldn't be buying another TiVo. But fortunately someone has already torrented it, so I'll be able to try again. I wasn't super enthused about it at the time, but maybe it'll pick up by the end. Honestly, I was never all that impressed with Dushku as an actress. Her entire emotional repertoire seems to be "smirky" and "angry." Stonefaced and confused, the third option revealed in this show, doesn't seem to help.

That, and I'm determined not to get invested in another Fox SF show. Steeling myself for another trademark Fox cancellation. I mean, it's a mid-season replacement show, Fox only bought 13 episodes, and this time it's starting out in the Friday night death slot. Okay, all that doesn't mean as much as it used to, in the age of TiVo, but still, DOOM.

Give Eliza a chance. I really liked her as Faith, so maybe I'm biased, but I think Joss has some great visions for this series. She can be anything: snarky, innocent, *and* stonefaced! Watch her grow as an actress...

Granted, it's not Buffy, and it's sure as *hell* not Firefly. Nathan Fillion (zomg WANT...apparently I have a thing for Nathans) is on another network these days. (I'm waiting for Castle, there will be a post on that too.) But, like unkaaron, I think there's potential there. Give it a chance...if your Tivo will let you. :)

Saw the first episode on hulu. We say half of the second episode on hulu too. (Manny had to go to work so we're going to watch the second half tomorrow.) Lots of questions but that's Joss for you.

For your Nathan Fillion fetish...go rent the movie "Waitress" OMG Nathan is so freaking hot in that movie. Manny said he would go gay for him after watching that movie!
