Ironies of My Life...
Well, I made plans a couple of weeks ago to be in NYC this weekend, not realizing that it's U of C Alumni Weekend this weekend and everyone and their s/o is going to be descending on Hyde Park in the next 72 hours - including laironno (who, of course, was one of the five reasons I'm going to be in NYC this weekend). As such, I'll be completely missing aureus_videre and rimbecano, possibly missing yi_sen and barely getting to see laironno for an 8am Monday morning breakfast at Orange.
And, sadly, ilanahg and srhymes are going to be busier than they had thought they'd be. However, I will, at least, get to see them this weekend - and, with luck, ladymedb as well. And, hey, if worse comes to worst, at least I'll be spending the weekend in a swank NYC hotel with agatia on her company's dime.
So, for those of you I miss in Chicago this weekend, hopefully I'll see you at some point in the future. I'm sure it won't be your last trip back to Chicago. Stupid 4-year BA. Why did I have to graduate on time? Grrr...
Though, to be fair, my intense contempt for the U of C Alumni Office may have something to do with why I wasn't paying attention...
