Dive Bar Concert Photos
As foretold in a previous entry, Friday night I went to see one of Jim's bands play at Valentine's. I ended up taking over 800 pictures and whittled them down to 27. No flash and even with f1.8 lenses wide open I still needed to bump up the exposure and levels in post processing. I'm pretty happy with these, but some are showing noise banding, even after two different noise reduction programs. Focus is off on a few, but not by too much. I still need to practice with this camera, but this was a good learning experience.
Downstairs at Valentine's
I'm also thinking of ditching picasa and going with a more robust gallery site, such as http://www.smugmug.com/ or http://www.zenfolio.com/. It would cost money, but I could upload high res images and prints could be ordered from them. If I paid for a higher level account I could also get money from any prints ordered. I don't think I'm quite there yet though.
