(no subject)
The past couple days have had a few low moments.
On Monday after I left work someone stole my Shure headphones from my desk. The wire was breaking and they looked a little gross with ear wax on them, but still, they were gone the next day. I didn't notice until I went to grab them, but no one that sits near me had any idea, and I know they were there the previous day. But oh well, like I said they were starting to break and gross, and maybe there are even better ones out now.
Then yesterday I was walking to my car, very tired and hungry and not really wanting to find a new parking spot for it, when I noticed that my driver side window was smashed in. Nothing was stolen, which pisses me off more than anything else. I had some cool stuff in there, like a 50 pound bag of lump charcoal. There could have been some illicit barbeques going on, but no, they just broke the window and ran off. Maybe the car alarm scared them, or maybe it was just someone throwing something in the park and didn't have any aim.
It's in Susan's parents garage and I did an insurance claim online, so I will hopefully be hearing from the glass place soon to get it fixed. The worst part for me was waiting around 45 minutes for a cop car to show up so I could get a report made.
On the bright side I did get my new fans for my computer yesterday, and the one that replaces the 3 5.25 bays I was able to combine with an old hard drive cooler and a few other pieces from my case to make it into an oversized intake fan/hard drive cooler on rails. It was pretty cold last night though, so I don't know if this will fix my computer problem, but if nothing else it was very satisfying to slide it in and actually have it fit correctly. Maybe I'll post some pictures once I'm sure it's working and I have my cable management figured out.
Also, yesterday was Luie's birthday. A full one year old, going on the assumption that he was born on 6/6/06, which I think i fair to say, seeing as he is evil, but oh so cute.
