Another good day at Faith

Well last night I went to Faith seeing as how it was another Tuesday night. It was awesome yet again. The Lord is full of many blessings. =) Well we went on 1 visit of which the girl that we visited is of Episcopalian faith. She gave the correct Faith answer but says that she prefers her denominational/traditional services, and that she wants to find an Episcopalian church to attend. That was fine...just as long as she is saved and has her faithful relationship with the Lord established. Lemme just note that we do not visit these people in terms of converting them to the Baptist Faith, just ensuring that there is Faith in Jesus Christ.
After that we had to stop by Sheryl's house. Well we normally visit for an hour. The visiting hour begins at 7pm and around 8:30 we are supposed to return to the church for celebration time. Celebration time is where we celebrate the people who gave their lives to Christ or who have decided to at least enroll in Sunday school. This is always an uplifting time...and quite a gift to be a part of.
Well anyway it was 8:19 and Sheryl asks me, "should we head back or make one last visit close by?" Well seeing as how we had only visited the one girl, I was not very satisfied with that, so I said we should make one more visit. I had Faith in this last visit. So we head over to visit a girl named Liz. Well we show up and her fiance is the only one home,Liz was at work. So we talked to John (the fiance) This was yet again a divine appointment. Ok, John tells us that he was raised by his single mother and he and his siblings were raised to believe only in what they could see. He also said that he was definitely trying to understand the reasoning of the Lord. Well we go through the Faith outline with him. He then tells us that he has attended our church twice w/ his fiance because she is a Christian and that she wants him to be a Christian because, before they marry they have to have counseling w/ her pastor back home. He says that he enjoys church and what it represents. Well his faith answer was a works answer. You know the one...If you live a good life...according to the Biblical "moral code" then you inheirit heaven. Well we explain that it's not like that at all and ask him if he would like to recieve Christ. He says no...he is not ready. Ok, normally you would be a lil disappointed, but not this time. Ok by talking to this guy...I KNOW the Lord is seeking him out and revealing himself to John...the seed has been planted and we had the joyous opportunity to water that seed. Oh the joy that will take place the day that seed is harvested. It may not sound it...but John has no idea what is in store for him...the Lord is seeking him ..and he is seeking the Lord. =)
I know all of us at some point have been in John's shoes. We have all doubted..I mean that's what faith is all about. It is hard to trust in what you cannot see. He is aware of there being a creator, he just hasn't established his relationship w/ Him yet...in time.
It's also awesome visiting w/ Sheryl because she used to be an adament atheist (Which I can't actually relate to) therefore, she has an awesome testimony that relates to some of the people we visit. Also, when we made it back to the church, we were thinkin pastor Mark would be upset that we made a last min-visit. But he replied with a "The visit that you feel iffy (this IS a word) about is usually the one that makes a difference" so true. =)Well anyway...that was my Faith night, and prayer chapel followed, which always rocks! I hope everyone is doing great! God Bless <3 Amber
P.S. I bought a venus flytrap today...he will be called "jaws"...now if I can only find him a bug to digest. =p
